How does The Distribution Network ensure distributors meet fulfillment standards?
All Distributors who sign on to The Distribution Network agree to the Fulfillment SLA terms posted here. This helps to ensure that each distributoradheres to a minimum of the same expectations for shipping speed, orderaccuracy, and inventory management. If a distributor fails to meetexpectations, brands can flag issues, request resolution, or remove them fromtheir fulfillment network. Keep in mind however, that your exactexpectations can and should be managed directly in your commercial arrangementwith each distributor.
Can I bring my own Distributors on to the network if they are not already Trading Partners?
Absolutely! They will need to sign a simple Trading Partner agreement and get connected, which averages around 2-4 weeks for normal connection methods.
What are the costs of using The Distribution Network?
Costs vary based on usage and include per-order processing fees and shipping costs. There are also one-time integration and onboarding fees. However, if you bring new Trading Partners onto the network, there are financial benefits for both parties!
Can I control branding on my packaging and inserts?
Some distributors may offer custom packaging options, but availability depends on their capabilities. TDN offers the ability to print branded return address and logos on shipping labels and packing slips.
Who handles customer service and fulfillment issues?
Brands manage customer support, but the network provides reporting tools to track fulfillment errors and request corrections. Brands also set return policies and decide whether distributors process returns or route them elsewhere. Carriers handle lost or damaged shipments. The network provides tracking and resolution tools to manage claims.
How does The Distribution Network integrate with my existing systems?
The Distribution Network offers a robust API your team can integrate to, EDI, or flat-file integrations are available too. All methods support order, inventory, and tracking updates and works with most WMS and ERP systems.
